It’s Fall, one of our favorite times of year here at Mavericks House. The next few months are full of fun events and beer releases in Half Moon Bay and at our parent company, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. They have their yearly fall beer, Pumpkin Harvest Ale, out now and events like Coastside BrewFest, Harvest Pumpkin Dinner, Día de los Muertos, and Pumpkin Festival!
Fall Brew:
Available beginning September 16
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company’s Brewmaster James Costa has crafted award-winning beers since arriving here at HMB BrewCo in 2013. This fall, they’ll re-release their fall signature beer:
o Pumpkin Harvest Ale (released September 16th), the full-bodied Amber Ale is made with locally grown Sugar Pie pumpkins that are roasted with a secret blend of spices added to the brew kettle, resulting in a subtle pumpkin pie spice flavor balanced by a biscuity maltiness. 6.3% ABV
Pumpkin Harvest Ale will be available on tap and in 22 oz. bottles at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, along with retailers throughout the Bay Area.

Our annual Harvest Dinner is back by popular demand! Celebrating the abundance of the outstanding farms and breweries on the San Mateo County coast, the feast will be prepared by our talented culinary team and feature produce exclusively from local Ouroboros Farms, brewmaster James Costa’s hand-crafted Pumpkin Harvest Ale, and Hatcher Winery wine.

Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival
October 19 - 20, 9am - 5pm

The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company’s Pumpkin Harvest Ale will be featured at the 49th Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival. The iconic beer will be available exclusively in the Pumpkin Festival’s Take 5 Lounge in addition to the Brewing Company-sponsored Made on the Coast Music Stage. They’ll also have our Kolsch and Full Swing IPA available at the festival.
Coastside Brew Fest
Saturday, October 26, 1-5pm
In celebration of the amazing craft breweries in the Bay Area and on the Coastside, Mavericks Community Foundation is hosting the 6th annual Coastside Brew Fest, sponsored by The Half Moon Bay Brewing Co. This year, the festival will be located across the street from Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, allowing for more room and more breweries! Some of the best breweries on the West Coast will be in attendance, offering unlimited tastes of their favorite brews including Alpha Acid Brewing, Altamont Beer Works, Discretion Brewing Company, Drake’s Brewing, East Brother Beer Co., Faction Brewing, Fort Point Beer Co., Gilman Brewing Company, Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, Hop Dogma Brewing Co., Laughing Monk Brewing, Marin Brewing Co., Morgan Territory Brewing, Novel Brewing Co., Pedro Point Brewing, Sacrilege Brewery + Kitchen, Santa Clara Valley Brewing, Temescal Brewing, 21st Amendment Brewery, Barebottle Brewing, Bear Republic Brewing, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery, Campbell Brewing, Devil’s Canyon Brewing Co., Blue Oak Brewing Company, Hunter’s Point Brewery, Uproar Brewing Company, Santa Cruz Mountain Brewing, South City Ciderworks, 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Boochcraft, and more!
This year’s Coastside BrewFest benefits the Mavericks Community Foundation, the primary sponsor and host of Coastside Gives. Coastside Gives is the annual community-wide fundraiser that supports over 45 nonprofits on the San Mateo County Coast between Montara and Pescadero.
Half Moon Bay Brewing Company will be open for dining throughout the event. Additionally, there will be several local food trucks providing food at the festival.
Tickets are $35 in advance or $45 at the door (includes souvenir glass); designated driver tickets are $10. Tickets are available at www.coastsidebrewfest.com. (Breweries subject to change without notice; while supplies last.)

Key Lime Pie will play music from 7-10pm at Half Moon Bay Brewing Co.’s first ever Día de los Muertos party! Everyone who comes embodying the spirit of The Day of the Dead will receive a goody bag of HMB BrewCo merchandise*! They will also be offering a Day of the Dead drink special made with blackberry mezcal, garnished with marigold flowers.
